Not your Ordinary Trip to Costa Rica
With a plethora of spectacular beaches, majestic volcanoes and dense rainforests Costa Rica offers an extraordinary trip to Latin America. This tiny Latin American country, with its cultural diversity and glorious heritage, exudes benevolence and hospitality, promising a memorable experience.
The friendly city of San Jose has the famous central mountain chain of volcanoes. The volcanos start from the Arenal Volcano National Park, which offers a picture perfect view of the Arenal Volcano and is home to various exotic and rare species of birds, mammals and reptiles of Costa Rica and leads up to the steaming Poas Volcano and the Irazu Volcano, located in the northwest and the east of San Jose. A number of museums related to natural history, contemporary art, and the pre Columbian era can also be found in San Jose.
Picturesque natural surroundings of the various cities of San Jose including San Gerardo de Dota, Santa Maria de Dot and San Ignacio, will leave you awe-inspired. While the Reserva Forestal Los Santos and Parque Nacional Carara in the North of the city offer breathtaking panorama.
Corcovado National Park is another extraordinary destination in Costa Rica. Located on the Osa Peninsula, it is a secluded haven for nature lovers. Various remote beaches can be found in the Southern Puntarenas and great spots for snorkeling, diving and fishing can be found in the Southern Coast of the land. You can also visit the Botanical Gardens outside of Cartago and San Vito and take a trip to the large domes of the Butterfly Gardens, for a fascinating tour.
The exotic Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica offers stunning beaches and surfing spots. Surfing enthusiast can hit the waves at some of the best surf spots in the Central Pacific area or the Southern coast of Costa Rica. Also Playa Negra, Playa Santa Teresa and Witches Rock in Santa Rosa National Park on the Nicoya Peninsula offer some of the best surf breaks.
A vast expanse of the breathtaking cloud forests and coffee plantation of Costa Rica are present in the Central Highlands and the provinces of Alajuela and Heredia. Several coffee farms in the Central Valley also offer coffee tours during the bean harvest season. The Cordillera de Tilaran mountain ranges in the east of Guanacaste offer terrific hiking facilities and number of volcanoes with breathtaking views and lush dense forests.
