THE ISA BILLABONG WORLD SURFING GAMES 2009 WILL BE ON July 31st to August 9th. The main characteristics of this event are: the visitation of Jac? will experience a high season in the low season with a rush on weekends, live broadcast of the event by Internet to over than 80 million people, event was declared National Interest by the President of the Republic, this event determines the world champions and 40 countries will be present with their delegations.
The Organizers are: Billabong, FSC Surf Federation of Costa Rica, ISA International Surf Association. Attending this event will be the International Media Support as ESPN, Fox Sport, T&C Sport , CNN, and massive participation of the national media (Radio, tv, newspapers, magazines, websites).
A directory is being formed to be distributed specifically for this event. Local packages are being offered to different businesses in the area: Packages are: hotels more than 30 rooms = $500, hotels between 15 and 30 rooms = $300, hotel and cabinas less than 15 rooms = $150, restaurants and bar = $250, main business (Banks, Gas Stations, Liquor Store, Supermarkets, Real States, Rent a Cars, Tours Operators) = $300, second business (pharmacies, clinics, "sodas", surf shops, souvenirs, spas, bakery, others) = $150. Every package includes: Space in the World Surfing Games Directory (Name of the Co., telephone and web), space inside the media supplement "Rumbo al Mundial", space in the newsletters sent by delegations, space in the newsletters sent to the database of the Federation, printed newsletters delivered to competitors, media and delegates once they enter the country, space in official folder, which is given to all delegations at the World Junior Ecuador.
