Tourists are permitted to bring two cameras, binoculars, and electrical items that are for personal use only, like a small radio, a hair dryer, etc. Personal computers, electric typewriters and other appliances are sometimes held in customs and taxed.

To avoid that, you must prove that what you are bringing is for personal use. The items in question will be noted in your passport and you must have them in your possession when you leave the country. Check with the consulate nearest you for latest regulations.
