Last night,
Saprisa played
Puntarenas in an exciting
game attended by more than 3,000 people. Saprissa fans cheered the team to a 2-1 victory over Puntarenas. Don Marvin
Elizondo spoke about the benefits of having soccer here in Jaco and supporting
National Tourism. The first national game ever
was played this past Sunday. In a first ever, national team event, Adrian Castro's Puntarenas team took the game with a 2-
0 win over San Ramon, making history in
Jaco! Crucial to
the implementation of this event was Francisco Fonseca from Pacific Sun Estates, Freddy Castro from Economy Rental Car
and Tobias Murillo Rodriguez. The stands were packed with local Garabito residents cheering for Puntarenas! Business
members of the community welcomed the attraction of national tourism in the area and look forward to more games to
come!
