Although many foreigners live in the city of San Jose, the majority prefer one of the smaller communities surrounding the city. These towns range from expensive to moderately Hotels priced to live. For some mysterious reason, at least six of these towns have the same name San Isidro which adds to the confusion of finding your way around! San Antonio is another favorite place-name that is scattered about like leaves in the wind.
As explained elsewhere, the explanation for identical names is that during colonization, communication was extremely difficult between: communities even though the actual distances might not be far with todays Transportation. People couldnt possibly confuse their San Antonio with another when it took a dozen days travel by oxcart to get to the other San Antonio.
