By Car: From San Jose take avenidas Central or 2 east through San Pedro and find the inter American highway south, it is a three and a half hour drive to San Isidro de General. Just south of San Isidro take the road marked "Rivas" to Rivas and continue to Canaan. Rio Chirripo is between Canaan and San Gerardo on the right side of the road, look for the blue gate with brown pillars.
