From San Jose: follow the indication to Alajuela, San Ramon, Esparza, continue following the panamerican highway number 1.
Continue on the main road to Limonal, looking for the indication Nicoya and Puente la Amistad. In Limonal you have to turn east, at Shell gas station. Follow this road to Nicoya and then to Samara.
In Samara turn at the first road to the right, drive in front of the white church, continue until a T cross (800 mts aprox), turn right, finally you have reach Magica Cantarrana Hotel.
