We went to Hard Rock Resort in August for the opening night of their remodeled Casino. We didn't stay to gamble but we heard they had just hired a new chef so we were very curious to try out the dinner menu. We had the special Sirloin steak with wine sauce and, I have to say, it was one of the best steaks I have ever had.The sauce was delicious and the steak very tender. They serve American cuts of beef and the chef did an excellent job. The next time we are in Jaco we will definitely come back for that steak.
While we were at the restaurant, we were treated to a spectacular lightning and thunderstorm while keeping safe and dry underneath the outdoor canopy. Talk about entertainment! We haven't stayed at the hotel overnight yet, but if the food and service in the restaurant is any indication, the hotel will be just as enjoyable....

hotel: Jaco Fiesta
The rooms were decent. The pools were great. The food was very good as well.
At check in, it took an hour for them to find our reservation. And then they
said we hadn't paid enough so they made us pay more. It was right on the
beach which was nice....
