The Melia Cariari in San Antonio de Belen, is 30 minutes from the Coffee Tour and from "Finca de Mariposas" (Butterfly Farm). Is 1 hour away from the Irazu Volcano National Park and 2 hours from the Carara Biological Reserve.
Golf:
The golf course is excellent: Worth a special trip just to do this. There are a few Golf court nearby the Meli'a Cariari Hotel. One of the best spots in Costa Rica to play golf in is the Cala Luna, it is surrounded by luxurious vegetation of abundant silver palms, delicate hibiscus and colorful bougainvillea. The tropical hardwood construction blends marvelously with the luxuriant exotic plants in a manner where elegance harmonizes with nature.The second spot, nearby the Meli'a Cariari Hotel, is also very good, and it called Capitan Suizo, it is a free and natural atmosphere with a touch of Swiss quality.
San Jose City Tour:
This tour immerses in the rich Costa Rican culture and history by experiencing the beautiful museums and historical sites of San Jose. It begins with an orientation and drive through to San Jose?s beautiful Sabana Park. Next you will take a walking tour through the historic National Theater completed in 1897; the theater is a masterpiece in art and architecture. after this tour you will visit one of the many unique museums of Costa Rica, the tour continues heading to the University of Costa Rica, Supreme Court and various sites of interest. A brief stop will be made in Moravia allowing you to browse through the beautiful craft shops located in this area, before returning to your hotel.
