Each and every room, at the Peace Lodge, boasts a Jacuzzi tub and stone fireplace along with showers that transform into waterfalls with the turn of a knob. From the handcrafted canopy beds and love seats to the original stained glass and illustrated artwork you will understand the time and care put into the details of each accommodation. To insure your enjoyment of the cool mountain weather and view of the Poas Volcano, we built oversized balconies complete with rocking chairs, hammocks and custom Jacuzzi tubs. The experience continues with your choice of aromatherapy products and our selection of fine quality linens and robes.

Hacienda Pozo Azul Canopy Adventure:
This unique adventure combines horseback riding and a 12 zip line Canopy Adventure. You?ll begin your tour with a horseback ride along the Saripiqui River. The hour ride brings you to the first platform of your canopy. The 15-platform tour will zip you through the trees as you venture deeper and deeper into the forest. Once you?ve worked up a hearty appetite, you will enjoy an authentic Costa Rican lunch with a gorgeous view of the Sarapiqui River.
Hacienda Pozo Azul Rafting Trip:
After a scenic 45 minute car ride to the Hacienda Pozo Azul, you will saddle up for a one hour horseback ride along the Saripqiui River. After your ride prepare yourself for an exciting two and half hour rafting trip along the Sarapiqui. This tour offers Class I, II and III rafting for the entire family! During the rainy season (May through December) the rafting is a bit more exciting with the higher water levels and better rapids. The Sarapiqui River is the one of the cleanest and most scenic rivers in Costa Rica. Once you?ve worked up a hearty appetite, you will enjoy an authentic Costa Rican lunch with a gorgeous view of the Sarapiqui River.
Trout Fishing:
Guests of the La Paz Waterfall Hotel will be invited to drop in a line and catch their own meal in our two level trout lake. The water temperature at Waterfall Gardens is the perfect breeding ground for these fish.
