My wife and I have stayed in many different hotels throughout the world. A hotel of quality requires two main things: 1) the staff must be friendly and cooperative and 2) the hotel needs to be clean and their rooms clean. Well the staff in general are quite nice and try to help the best that they can, but this is absolutely the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed. After the morning maintenance, changing of dirty towels, making the beds and cleaning the floors, the room that I stayed in was filthy. Dead bugs remained where they were from before the "cleaning". Linens were filthy, not only stained from older exposure to staining products, but from the first day, the bed linens had dirt spots. We asked to change these, but never got this done. YUCK! Mirrors were never cleaning and the showers retained scum from many earlier showers. Another major problem is the food. I have stayed in many hispanic style hotels with wonderful restaurants. Besides the morning breakfast of cereal and egg omelets, the rest of the meals were horrible. Food was just thrown into bins. The floors in the restaurant were plain dirty. Residue from previous meals remained on the floors, not only from meal to meal, but from day to day. Cleaning of glasses was just a quick rinse without soap. My wife and I loved the environment and the location, but this hotel needs to look inwards to improve. I have never had to report negatively about a hotel, but this one drove me to it.... '
