INSURANCES GENERAL INFORMATION
Insurances Program
A. Basic Package
It is required and mandatory for all rent al of vehicle s .
a. It includes:
a.1 - liberation of responsibility for the damages to the rented vehicle caused in the
accidents,
a.2 - liberation of responsibility in case of total or partial theft,
a.3- civil responsibility insurance for the damages against the property of others, and,
a.4 - insurance for people injuries and deaths.
With this package is applied a deductible of US $1000,00 in the liberation of responsibility for damages to the vehicle and 20% for the damages against the property of others. Deductible does not exist in the case of lesion and death of people.
b. Coverage limits:
b.1 - Liberation of Responsibility Value of the vehicle rented
b.2 - Damages against the property of others: 30 millions colons
b.3 - Lesion and death of people: 90 millions per person
175 million per accident
In the case of the insurances for damages against the property of others and the insurance of lesion and death of people, a Civil Responsibility insurance policy and a Complementary Police exist supplementary that increase the cover until two millions dollars.
B. Non Deductible Coverage Package
It is identical to the regular insurance and cover the totality of the damages caused to the vehicle rented for US $1000.00.
It is an option whose goal is to encourage the relation cost - benefit in our offer of service in order to prevent to our customers from being exposed to non foreseen expenses, it remains an obligation of the 20% of the damages at third parties.

C. Exclusions

No one will be able to be liberated of its responsibilities or the insurances nor damages at third in the circumstances that follows:
c.1 - When the driver of the vehicle provokes an accident or damages the rented vehicle while being under the effect of the alcohol or drugs.
c.2 - When the vehicle is driven by a non authorized person on the contract of renting.
c.3 - Damages of all type produced by driving in river, lakes, beaches, estuaries, flooded roads or similar conditions.
c.4 - To drive the vehicle at cross country, it is to make pass it through fields where there are no roads and trails.
c.5 - To miss to the obligation to provide police's report (from the Highway Patrol) when there is complaint about the above mentioned covers.
IMPORTANT NOTES
It is required the presentation of the following documents for renting a vehicle of our company to be used in Costa Rica:
1. Effective passport, with entrance stamps to the country effective.
2. Valid Driver License of the country you precede.
3. To be older than 21 years old.
4. Credit Card deposit for USD $1000.
