Details
After paddling the Pascua section of the Reventazon River, adventurers agree that these are the best rapids they have conquered. A classic, big water run, Pascua is guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat, literally! And when we say big, well, we will let you decide what exactly our definition of big means. For example, some of the waves on this run are bigger than the raft. Rapids like "Dirty Mind", "The Abyss", "Indigestion" and "Horrendito" are among the fifteen class IV rapids you will run. While basking in the excitement of the adventure, one will also have the opportunity to notice the scenery and how complimentary it is in its sheer beauty. There is a variety of big mountain landscapes which include a superb view of the nearby Turrialba Volcano (3234 msnm).
This 24 km run (15 miles) takes about four hours which includes lunch on the river.

What to bring

It is important to have water sandals with a back strap or tennis shoes, bathing suit, shorts and a synthetic shirt for quick dry, towel, change of clothes and plastic bag for your wet clothes. The weather is often changing so it is good to be prepared with a wind breaker and sun screen. Some people are more comfortable to wear a hat under their helmet and also the option is there to bring a disposible water camera. At the exploration center we have drinks and t-shirts for sale if you are interested in bringing some money.
