Every surf lessons begins with stretching to prepare your body to surf. Your surf instructor will take you though a comprehensive set of stretches that will help reduce sore muscles or possible injury.
Your surf instructor will instruct you on what you should wear to help you surf. All lessons include the use of a rash guard. Your surf instructor will teach you how to pick your surfing location. You will learn to avoid the crowded swells and learn what type of breaks you should look for. Safety is very important at Jaco Surf Lessons. Your instructor will teach you about low tides, high tides and rip tides.
Your Instructor will discuss the types of boards available. All lessons include the use of a board. Your instructor will teach you how to inspect your board to make sure it is safe. The lesson includes showing you how to wax your board and how to carry your board.
Before hitting the water, your instructor will make sure you are fully prepared. Your instructor will discuss how to paddle out, how to pick a wave and how to catch a wave. Most importantly your will learn several techniques for standing up.
At Jaco Surf Lessons your safety is our concern, so your surf instructor stays by your side. Your instructor will give you signals for when you should paddle into a wave and when you should execute the stand. This hands-on in the water approach will help ensure your surfing success.
