Details
The Tour consists of 13 platforms, 7 cables of different sizes, 3 storey Tree House, Tarzan Swing, a suspension bridge and a 90 feet rappel at the end. The tour starts with putting on your harness; these are professional mountain climbing harnesses. Then you'll do a short walk in, a professional guide will explain you about the area you are in, and the flora and fauna you will encounter on the trails.
Since a part of the forest has been used for agro forestry, a wide variety of exotic fruit trees and hardwood trees can be found. Also throughout the day, the scarlet macaws can be heard and often seen in flight, particularly around dusk! The beautiful giant blue Morpho butterfly frequents open spots in the forest and is often found near waterfalls. You may also see the toucans, aracari's and white-face capuchin monkeys. you'll take to the trees near the waterfalls, here you find the first platform with a short slide. From there you will glide with the help of professional climbing gear on a pulley to the first tree (an enormous Ceiba tree with a diameter of 30 feet!). At all times you are under the constant care of professional guides! You will be taking cables from treetop to treetop in this jungle until you get to the Tree house.
This is the highest point of the Canopy Tour, you'll be 100 feet over ground level? Here you can hang out for a while to enjoy the scenery. The tree house offers a great opportunity to do some bird watching. Go on and try to spot some of the colorful birds present! More cables will follow until you reach a suspension bridge.
